LABARCA REMO CLUB wants to be a self-sustaining economic reality, based on the fees of its members. Until the constituent Members' Assembly is held, in principle, the membership fee will be at least €10 per month. The optimal number of partners is established between 100 and 150.
These parameters are inspired by the experience of the 7 seine boat clubs in Málaga, which total about 15 boats, 70 competitive crews and 800 rowers.
In order to have a light boat, and thus mobilize membership registration, LABARCA REMO CLUB needs to receive small financial donations from the project supporters. The standard suggested donation is €10, but it can be lower or higher, of course.
As a way to recognize and thank this contribution, donors will be included in a list of people invited to take a ride on our boat, as soon as they reach the water, either as a rower or as a passenger.
This possibility is conditional on confirmation of the state of the sea at the previously scheduled time. According to our estimate, the days suitable for pleasurable paddling are at least 300 per year.
If sufficient donations are not received, the LABARCA REMO CLUB Statutes provide for the liquidation of the Association and the transfer of funds to the Cáritas de Almuñécar charity association. We are optimistic, of course.
